Our Story

Casey

Picture
Casey has been and avid outdoors-man since he was old enough to walk. He grew up hunting everything from big game to rodents. Casey's passion  has always been the the joy of man and dog hunting together. He receives more enjoyment out of watching, training and raising a good working dog then the act of hunting. He says the hunt is for the dog the act of hunting is for my pleasure and sanity. Casey has owned many working breeds from German Wirehair Pointers, Springer Spaniels, English Pointers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and many Labrador Retrievers. Casey truly adores Labradors and considers them to be the most versatile in the working breeds. Over the last 15 years Casey has realized that due to the practice of compulsion training for delivery to hand and the breeding of dogs with extreme hunt/prey drive that it is harder to find a Labrador physically conforming to the breed standard as well as having the demeanor, bid-ability and train-ability that the Labrador breed is known for. Casey has searched to find dogs that encapsulate both the physical aspects as well as the personality common place in the Labrador breed from the Labrador's conception.

Marie

Picture
Marie started hunting a little later in life, but has always been into working dogs. When Marie was in her teens she owned and operated a dog sledding team with her sister. During college she was employed at Trieven Sungold Kennel where she received first hand training in all aspects operating a kennel.  Marie then moved to Idaho where she was fortunate to find a job with Lazy Triple Creek and Blixt & Co. Blixt operated traditional European driven hunts. Marie was given a 15 min lesson on how to handle one of the ranches pick up dogs, a small lab named Ryder. This experience put the fever and joy of raising and training Working dogs. She purchased her 1st of many Boykin spaniel 4 months after her this initial trailing experience. Since her introduction to the sport, Marie has continued training and hunting with working dogs. She has a huge passion for learning new training techniques and loves to read training books from well known British and American authors.

Dog Trainers in Training!

wOur Family lies at the very core of our Kennel, Our children love care and play with all of our dogs. The children take joy in the many puppies they get to toe around and play with from year to year. Our Kennel helps provide examples or core values such as a work ethic, responsibility, kindness, love and service to another that we want every member of our family to possess.
